Cofee drying Before you decide where and what type of coffee to buy , It's good to have a little background information on Tanzanian coffees; A good Tanzanian coffee from the North or Kagera region (Around Lake Victoria) can be a treat to your coffee requirements. The Northern coffees are also grown near Kenya (Mt. Kilimanjaro) and bear that out in the cup: more acidity, lighter body. A bag of fairly-traded fresh, ground coffee, made from Arabica beans grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is a fresh, aromatic coffee perfect for breakfast or after lunch and, being a fair trade product, you can be sure that growers receive a fair price for their beans. The Southern District coffees from the mountains of the northeast rim of Lake Malawi are full bodied, have milder acidity, and extremely long in the aftertaste. This flat bean coffee is a sweet coffee.
There
are said to be more than 6,000 species of coffee plant in the world,
with at least 25 major types. The two most commercially important types
are Arabica (Coffea arabica) and Robusta (Coffea canephora). These are
well grown in Tanzania too. Please contact us for Price and Delivery terms.
